Updating Server Artifacts
Keeping your FiveM server artifacts up to date is important for stability, performance, and compatibility with newer scripts.
Follow the steps below to update your server artifacts safely.
1. Download the Latest Artifacts
Go to the official FiveM artifacts page and download the latest recommended build for your server.
Make sure you download the version that matches your server operating system (Windows or Linux).
2. Stop Your Server
Before updating anything, stop your FiveM server completely.
Updating artifacts while the server is running can cause errors or corrupt files.
3. Backup Your Server Files
It is always recommended to create a backup before updating.
At minimum, back up:
any custom scripts or configs
4. Replace the Old Artifact Files
Open your server folder where your artifacts are installed.
Replace the following files with the ones from the new download:
alpine/ or server runtime files (Linux)
Simply drag the new files into your server folder and overwrite the old ones.
5. Start Your Server
Once the files are replaced, start your server again.
If everything updated correctly, the console will show the new artifact version when the server starts.
Updating artifacts regularly helps prevent compatibility issues with newer FiveM scripts and frameworks.
